REDLINE is a personal market-thesis journal. Define an observable outcome before its deadline, then review it against a named data source. The current edition supports BTC/USD, ETH/USD and SOL/USD reference markets from Coinbase Exchange.

01 / Record the call

Write a thesis of 15–400 characters. Choose a direction and a review period of 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days. Above-target calls require a target above entry and an invalidation below entry. Below-target calls reverse those conditions.

The entry is the last trade returned by the source. You must refresh before recording if the fetched quote is more than 2 minutes old or its last trade is more than 3 minutes old. Recording a call does not place a trade.

02 / Fix the review time

The deadline is the selected period after recording, rounded up to the next UTC minute. The result uses the closing price of the one-minute candle beginning at that deadline. Review opens after that minute has ended. For example, a 14:00 UTC deadline uses the 14:00–14:01 candle.

03 / Apply the same standard

• MET: the deadline close reaches or exceeds the target in your chosen direction.
• INVALIDATED: the close reaches or crosses the invalidation level in the opposite direction.
• MISSED: the close is between those two boundaries.

Equality counts as reaching a boundary. Intraday touches do not affect this version’s outcome. The percentage price change is a reference-market move, not a portfolio return, leveraged profit or execution result.

04 / Inspect the evidence

Click “Check outcome” when a call is due. REDLINE requests the exact source candle and attaches its URL to the result. If the source is unavailable or the candle is missing, the call remains unreviewed. The app does not invent a replacement price. Reviews can fetch candles from the past 90 days.

Market data is fetched on page load, market change or refresh. The chart uses completed hourly candles. Coinbase documents that historical data can be incomplete ↗.

What a receipt proves

The exported receipt contains the thesis, entry, terms, source, local creation time and SHA-256 digest. The digest checks whether content matches a copy. It does not independently prove authorship, publication time or an unalterable history. Browser data and the device clock are controlled by the device owner.

Your data

Records are stored in this browser. They are not synced or backed up by a server. Clearing browser data removes them. Export copies regularly. Market-data requests send only the selected product and, for a review, the deadline to the data endpoint; your thesis text stays on your device.
